I got the possibility to attend an evening @ Dexters in Odense, where the Blue Mondays Jam event was held on a thursday (because of the Jam Days 2017 festival).
Around 19.30 hours the venue was quickly filling to its max., but retaining a cosy atmosphere.
This evening we all had the pleasure to be blessed with the performances of, Søren Rislund, Mika Vandborg, Esben Just, H.P. Lange, Poul Ernst Halberg and the venue backers Rune S. Moesgaard (guitar), Mikkel Christensen (organ), Jesper Nordam (bass) and Mikael Bundgaard Pedersen (drummer).
We got it all this evening. H.P. Lange was the first on stage, and took us back to where it all startet.
Then Mika blew us all of the seats with some über cool and hardcore blues rock (I love it, but hey, I am of cause a big fan!).
Esben Just then took back down to Bourbon Street, Louisiana with his super authentic New Orleans tone.
Søren Rislund was the next on stage, and Søren took us back to the blues classics, and he just presents them in a admirable. true and respectful way. That harp Søren, ohh mann....
Poul Halberg got to finish the first part. I am a long time fan of Poul Halberg and his love of the blues and the 60's, 70's rock music, clearly shines through when he plays stuff like Creams Politician. By the way, Jesper Nordams bass on this was impressive to me. He somehow made me think Jack Bruce for some minutes.
Pouls guitar was just smoking hot and expressional during the evening.
